Considering airbrush makeup? Beware of the cons
Sometimes, I don’t know why we try so hard to be perfect on our wedding day. I mean were naturally superb! But if you’re taking advantage of the forthcoming event and want to glam out! – By all means, I will let you do just that!
Personally, I am not a fan of airbrush makeup and here is why:-
1) It’s Shallow!
And by shallow I mean, It has no full coverage. During such a big event, you should plan to stay glammed up for at least 8-12 hrs. The tale of airbrushing lasting longer than conventional liquid/powder foundation is all a trick.
2) It can go horribly wrong!
Yes, if your MUA has not mastered the art of the airbrush machine – you will walk into the wedding as if a 7-year-old did your makeup, lol.
3) Creases, Creases, Creases!!!
I talked to a few makeup artists who was honest enough to tell me that even though airbrushing is good for pictures, you should be careful to not smile too much because any animated facial expressions can leave creases. In that case, you might as well not opt to get those pearly whites if no one is going to see them! Ughh.
Sidenote: Keeping a sponge nearby will work well to blend the creases 🙂
I’d say have the MUA do a trial run (maybe the day of a rehearsal or Bridal shower). Then you’ll be able to see how it looks and how long it lasts!
